Our Gold Collection is made for the keepsake you plan to wear for the rest of your life and then hand down. Every ring, necklace, pendant, bracelet, pair of earrings and charm here is crafted in our studio from solid gold and set with a stone made from your own breast milk. Solid means exactly that: no plating, no vermeil, no gold-filled layers. If a piece in this collection says gold, it is gold all the way through.

9K, 14K or 18K gold?

The karat number tells you how much pure gold an alloy contains. 9K gold is 37.5 percent gold: the hardest and most affordable of the three, with a slightly paler color. 14K gold is 58.5 percent gold, the most common choice for fine jewelry in the United States and the sweet spot between durability and a rich color. 18K gold is 75 percent gold: the warmest, deepest color and the highest gold content, a little softer and priced accordingly. All three are available in yellow, rose and white gold, and all three are solid.

Why gold for breast milk jewelry

Gold does not tarnish, does not need re-plating and keeps its color for decades, which makes it the natural match for a stone that carries so much meaning. It is also stronger than silver, so a gold ring keeps its shape through years of daily wear. That is why we back gold with a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, compared with one year for silver. Solid gold breast milk rings range from slim stacking bands such as Luna and Liv to statement designs like Charlotte and Naomi that can be set with lab-grown diamonds. Most designs can be finished with a cubic zirconia or lab-grown diamond, a birthstone, an engraving or an inclusion of hair, ashes, umbilical cord or placenta.

Is Mama Jewels gold really solid gold?

Yes. We do not sell gold-plated, vermeil or gold-filled breast milk jewelry. Every gold piece is made from solid 9K, 14K or 18K gold alloy in a jeweler’s workshop that has worked with precious metals since 1979.

Which gold color should I choose?

Yellow gold is classic and gives the white milk stone the most contrast. Rose gold is warm and soft, a favorite for everyday wear. White gold looks like polished silver but is far more durable. Choose the color of the jewelry you already wear most.

Can I mix a gold piece with silver pieces?

Yes. Many mothers start with a silver piece and add a gold ring later; the milk stones are made the same way in both metals. We can store leftover milk for up to six months so a second piece does not require new milk.
