In 2015, friends and business partners Soma and Bart took over a jewelry store together — one with its own workshop, where jewelry has been made and repaired since 1979.
In the store, they saw every day just how personal jewelry can be: a ring to celebrate a baby's birth, a necklace in memory of a loved one, a family heirloom that could be worn once again. That's where they learned the care it takes to honor the most special moments in someone's life.

Over time, more and more requests for breast milk jewelry came in. Soma saw how much these pieces meant to moms. Every mom's breastfeeding journey is different: sometimes long, sometimes short, sometimes beautiful, sometimes hard — but always personal.
At the same time, she felt breast milk jewelry could be more refined. More elegant. More comfortable to wear. More like real jewelry you're proud to wear every day — not just a keepsake, but a beautiful, lasting piece.
And so Mama Jewels was born.

Today, in our own studio, we craft rings, necklaces, bracelets and pendants from breast milk and other precious keepsakes. Every piece is made by hand — with attention to the story behind it and to every last detail.
